BELSTAFF (ACCREDITED)
Information: There is currently no information available from Belstaff concerning this jacket. It
is possible, though unlikely that Belstaff was licensed to make the official
replicas and is not the original manufacturer.
A recent 'Profiles in History' auction listed the original jacket worn by Tom Cruise as "Dark brown vinyl jacket (made to resemble leather) with white and red trim along the shoulders and arms..."
For this reason, FILMJACKETS.COM has given Belstaff an 'accredited' status for the jacket. It is still possible that Belstaff made the original jacket from dark brown vinyl.
Belstaff makes
two versions of this jacket.
The heavier version is bison (style #713561).The thinner version is listed as "replica leather"
(style #713074) and may explain the confusion...
