If I could have any other jacket besides the Wilsons car coat, it would hands down be this bad boy..

Little tip about the M-65 field jacket that Dean wears in the post above.

Yes, that is the same jacket, however it fits really differently. I bought the jacet and was suprised to discover that the thing is huge. It is really big and loose and fits more like a winter jacket than the baggy yet fitted one that Dean wears.

I looked at some promo pictures and realized that the wardwrobe people purposely put Jensen in a Jacket that is way too small for him to give it a more fitted look. See how the bottom of the zipper is half way up his chest?

That's how you have to wear an M-65 if you're going to be wearing it without the quilted liner. You have to size down.

Wish I had known that a couple years ago before I tried to buy one and ended up with a tent with sleeves.

Mechanic, Ive tracked down the sizing for this jacket.

XS suitable for 29 - 33 inch chest
Small suitable for 33 - 37 inch chest
Medium suitable for 37 - 41 inch chest
Large suitable for 41 - 45 inch chest
XL suitable for 45 - 49 inch chest
2XL suitable for 49 - 53 inch chest
3XL suitable for 53 - 57 inch chest

So a Small with a lining inside fits a 37 inch chest? and its more like a 38-40 without one?

I thought Dean's jacket was missing the zippered hood and the epaulettes which was made it a bit difficult to pinpoint. Although, costume design could easy alter the base Alpha. They alter clothing all the time.

If I recall, I'm a 44R/T and I think I could size down to a small whereas I normally wear a Large jacket. But it's been a while since I've worn an M65. A LONG while...

Yes, the sizes for the M-65's includes the lining.
The M-65 was meant to be worn over a BDU shirt and/or sweater and be worn with the quilted liner too so the sizing is generous.

I have a 42" chest and wear a Medium Regular without the liner and after a few washings and a few hours in the dryer it fits me just fine-

The epaulets can be removed if you're a good tailor. I'm sure that's what they did on the show to make the jacket more unique.

Hi there. I just signed up, due to the curiousity of the coat in the second post that Dean is wearing. I have to say, that is a very nice coat. Does anyone have any information on this? Where I might find it? Thanks for any information!

Rob

P.S. Sorry if I just revived a dead thread. I didn't notice the most recent post date until after I posted.

hey Rob welcome to the forum. That coat is so distinctive, its surely designer. That patch on the arm must give something away. Maybe we could email a picture to one of these crazy Jensen Ackles fan sites, they might know something?

That jacket I posted is probably by Don Juan Expensivo or one of those types of people.
