"Blade: Trinity" Hannibal King Jacket 2

We have all had those defining moments when we noticed a film personality on the silver screen wearing a fantastic leather jacket. Or maybe you fell in love with James Dean’s iconic red windbreaker. You thought it looked so great and you knew someday you would have one just like it. This is a forum to discuss those jackets.

I still like the look of the jacket though. It's a nice one as a stand-alone jacket. But as a replica of the version Brad wore, nowhere near close.

Yeah. I think it looks good, but it's not quite what I'm looking for.

Maybe he can do one in a lighter-tan though, just like Pitt's. If he can make pastel-blue, I'm sure he'd have no trouble making tan.

I would think so. I would like to see one before ordering though.

Did you ask him?

I asked him about the blue version, and he's getting a sample out to me before I order. I don't see why he wouldn't do the same for you.

No, not yet. I may later in the fall. I'll keep that in mind, though. Thanks.

Looks like this is a dead end as well. The last I heard was he had a delay with the sample. Which he was going to get my two Monday's ago. And I ain't heard anything since. Despite several mails.

GOOD NEWS!

The eBay version of FILMjackets got back to me recently. He said there's been a delay because whoever they get to make their jackets messed up the stripe color.

He sent me a picture of the first attempt.

I messaged them back. To see if they were going to correct the mistake. And I'm waiting for a reply.

Congratulation Sawyer! FILMjacket are great to deal with, and I certainly hope you'll be just as impressed with their quality as I am once you've received the jacket. Speaking of which, man that is one LOUD jacket! I'm so looking forward to see this in the "Member Jackets" section

Nice. I don't think I could pull off the blue, but I'm also looking forward to seeing the finished product and some photos.

Also, I contacted the filmjackets guy on ebay and he said the khaki they have on their is as close as they can get it, so the tan is a dead end there as well.

If they reverse the stripe, this jacket will look the real deal once it's been worn for a while and shows signs of wear. Brand new, it looks a little too "shiney".

also be weary of the fit

that jacket looks boxy, and no one more than DVDcon. knows how a belstaff fits, short at the waist and long sleeves, this jacket looks like the waist is the same length as the sleeves. very wested-esque

Excellent point! I was concentrating so much on the colour, I overlooked the actual shape of the jacket!

The sleeves are definitely longer than the body. Look at Bong's jacket by the same bloke.

I secretly love the blue colour combo of King's blouson, and I found this one listed on eBay.

Does anyone know anything about this seller?

The quality of the leather looks impossible to tell from the photos. I thought the same thing with the Black version available from FilmJackets - but Bong's post's about his one from there showed that it was very nice.

What do you think?

Did anyone ever get one in this colour scheme? How brave do you need to be to wear such a lairy colour?

ps It's really cheap too.
