"X2: X-Men United" Jacket (Wolverine)

We have all had those defining moments when we noticed a film personality on the silver screen wearing a fantastic leather jacket. Or maybe you fell in love with James Dean’s iconic red windbreaker. You thought it looked so great and you knew someday you would have one just like it. This is a forum to discuss those jackets.

Went out for a Halloween Party last night and ran into Superman.

I have to second that opinion Red...this is one of those jackets that I keep coming back around to. Of all the Wolverine jackets, this one for me is the best looking. I don't know if it's because there's lots of detailing, or if it's because the proportions of the design cues are so well put together.

Anyway, it's nice to admire from afar...my jacket acquiring days are behind me.

For now. :paranoid:

My Jacket arrived today!!! Thank you Dan! Thank you Stunt!

I'll have pics and more of a description up in a few days…. right now I'm just a mess over how awesome this jacket is …. it's functional art, plain and simple.

For now I will say that I christened the X2 with a 3 hr. hike and a cigar.

More to come!

And T… I hear ya man, I can't pick a favorite right now between my X1 and X2… but I agree with everything you say on the subject. I'll also say that it's not as loud as I thought it would be judging from the pictures I've seen so far. Mine is not distressed, and I plan to let it break in naturally. I got a lot of attention from wearing the X1 at first … it will be interesting to see what happens with the X2.

hi guys!

I was wondering if you could give me a wee hand. I'm looking to add this piece of art to my collection, and am looking for a bit of advice.

I have a Vanson X1 from Dan and was wondering how the fits compare (chest, waist, sleeve length).

Looking at some of the pictures it looks like it may taper a bit more in the waist.

Cheers,

Steve-O

From what I know, yes it is much more tapered, unless you get a custom fit.

Hey Steve-O,

I can confirm this since I have one. It is definitely a little more tapered. Because of this I think it fits me better than my X1.

I agree completely. I have some pics of me wearing both a Vanson X1 and X2 of the same off-the-rack size here if it helps: http://www.filmjackets.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6037&p=82625#p82625
