"The Departed" Jacket

We have all had those defining moments when we noticed a film personality on the silver screen wearing a fantastic leather jacket. Or maybe you fell in love with James Dean’s iconic red windbreaker. You thought it looked so great and you knew someday you would have one just like it. This is a forum to discuss those jackets.

I actually bought it a year ago from Belstaff. They tracked one down and I was able to buy it over the phone. Everyone always posts that their jackets fit snug, so I ordered a large and...it fit like an actual large, so I had to exchange for a Medium when found one. I love it, just never get the chance to wear it!

Does anyone besides Belstaff make a version of "The Departed" Jacket?
Thanks,

Interesting. Were there two versions of this Belstaff jacket, as with the 'Hero' jacket? A Winter weight and Summer weight perhaps?
This one looks different to mine.. the lining looks heavier and there's no leather around the inside pocket on mine. Also, the tags are slightly different.
Externally, it's all the same though, although the leather on this one looks slightly thicker, hard to tell in pictures I guess. Mine is incedibly lightweight, and gets worn a lot as a result! :)

If this is a fake....then it must be damn good one. Where did you get yours?

Got mine from a member here. Google 'Belstaff fake' and look for an article from German ebay. There's some nice comparison pics, and yes, the fakes do look very good! The zipper pulls on this one look funny.. The lettering and details are much more precise on mine. Anyway, its neither here nor there to me, i was just curious.

Certainly looks real to me, identical to mine. Mine weighs a lot, are you sure your lightweight one isn't the fake ?? I dont think this was ever made as a summer issue.
