Any update on the patches? Also, can the stripes be added after the jacket has been made, or do they need to be sewn during the construction of the sleeves? Thanks

I have two avenues on sources for the patches... and am now working on the logistics for attaching the patches to keep cost down on the buyers end of things.

The stripes are attached during initial sleeve construction. They are sewn to the outter sleeve half and then they are sewn in along the length when the inner sleeve half is attached.

Dan, I really appreciate all your efforts in getting the patches for the jacket! I hope and expect your sales will soar once you have them readily available as an option on your website.

Thanks Again!

Brian

Well I just checked with Vanson on where my latest bunch of House jackets were in the production status, and was informed they are about to have the leather cut... I added another order that came in to this run, and can add a few more to this run if people want place orders right away through the website. Coming in on this run means you'll only have to wait a month instead of 3-4.

I came across this forum by way of the House md FAQ page. I've been looking for this jacket for a while and would be very interested in purchasing one for myself.

You mentioned that the sizes run small. I have no idea what size I would wear. Should I take measurements and contact Vanson?

Also, I'd be very interested in getting the patches if possible.

Thanks!

bmax,
They don't run small at all, they are fitted... so if you wear a 42R suite jacket then you should wear a 42R Vanson.
I can tell what size you need by a few measurements. You can PM me your height, weight, chest, and waist sizes to get an exact size you should fall into.

You're welcome to go directly to Vanson of course, but it may take longer and run you $80+ extra dollars over ordering through my LogansCloset.com site since I get the group buy discount with Vanson.
I have a run in right now that is still open to add orders.

Between Rick and myself the patches addition to the jacket should come to be any day now.

This is my firs post here. Thanks for all the research you guys have done. I am interested in purchasing patches only when they become available, or would join any group buy for any or all of the patches.

Hello,

This is a great site!

I also just joined after finding this site when looking for the manufacturer of House's jacket. Is it too late to put in an order for this batch through the loganscloset.com?

UPDATE 1: I realize that I stated that the patches will be ready for purchase in 2 weeks about 2 weeks ago.

To be on the safe side, I spent the extra money to have only samples delivered. If these look to be what I envisioned, I will tell the patchmaker to ship them out. While this prevents me from getting a boatload of unusable patches, it will add a minimum of another 2 weeks to ordering time.

Worst case, there are problems and they have to be adjusted. That could add extra time. I just felt that if you are putting permanent patches on an expensive leather jacket, that they should be perfect. This may happen since I am using measurements from a jacket that fits a man who is 6'2" and make them look right on a jacket that fits a man who is 5'8".

UPDATE 2: Prototype patches arrived today. I will review them when I pick them up and if all is well, I can start taking orders soon.

That is great. Thanks for taking the time. I think you made a wise choice getting the samples. Keep us posted

I certainly do not mind waiting or additional cost to make sure the vendor gets them right. Thanks to Rick for acting as "Idea Man", "Engineer" & "Quality Control" for this project.

I am awaiting the new sample incorporating the changes to the RTAI patch. I have also tweaked the color from PMS 195 to PMS 194 as is seemed too dark. PMS 194 has a little more red and a little less black.

I have not yet submitted the final changes for the ENERGY STATION CUSTOM patch but that will be soon...
